Skeptical at Best

I came across a website is selling books that were supposed to help a student to get better grades in GCSE coursework and I decided to purchase one to see if their findings were true or not.

The book entitled “The Best A Level Coursework Student” arrived in the mail not too many days later and I decided to crack it open and see what interesting things it had to say.  The book was good enough but I wasn’t certainly all that it was all its cracked up to be.  I guess I will see if the marks greatly improve on my next report card.

I don’t want my coursework at school to be any easier now that I have this great book.  I still have to study hard and do many hours of homework every week and it is really do not see how reading this miracle book is going to make me a genius.

Being Jake’s Grandma

Posted By Twyla on April 12, 2008 @ 4:27 pm

It is a very busy year for our family.  My son and his wife have just given birth to the most amazing baby boy that I have ever seen since the birth of my own son.  My son himself, is trying to juggle his new family and his work on his dissertation.  I think he is finding it a lot harder than he expected it to be.

In a few short months, my daughter-in-law will also be working on her thesis.  I am looking very much forward to this as grandma gets to take care of baby Jake while his mommy and daddy are very busy doing their research.

I certainly feel sorry for them and don’t envy them at all for all the essay writing that they are going to have to do in the next few years.  They are both very brilliant people and I know that they will do well, and I am just so very glad that they live near me and don’t have to put Jake in day care.

Essay Purchasing Machine

Posted By Admin on April 11, 2008 @ 3:53 pm

My friends and I have been going to college for many years together and we work as a team.  This team work includes working on assignments together, brainstorming for presentations and working together as a study group.  We all have very high averages and part of the trick behind that is that we buy all of our essays online.

My job in the group is to go online and buy essays that are the same essay topics as what we are assigned in class.  All we do is a quick rewrite to these purchased essays and then we submit them as our own work.

A good example of this was our recent philosophy essay that we handed in this week.  Between the five of us, I think we spent a combined total of one hour and a half on writing five, five page essays.  In that respect, the whole college experience has been more of a party than a bunch of book work.

Lucky to Be Me

When I started college I figured that if I could just buy essay papers to get me through my first year and by then I would have experienced enough of the dorm and party life to last me through the rest of my college years.  I figured by then I could buckle down and get serious about my education.

It had seemed like a good idea at the time but I realized by the second year that I had no idea how to write an essay.  I went to the student center to see if I can get some essay help, and luckily they were able to help me and I saved my college career.

I am now working on a dissertation and I know that I am very lucky to be here today.  I could have been expelled or I could’ve just flunked out the rest of the years of my college degree but obviously the gods were in my favor because here I am, right where I want to be.

One Quick and One Slow Choice

Posted By Admin on April 10, 2008 @ 7:10 pm

While working on my final psychology essay, I have been faced with the choice: one of them is a quick solution and the other is a slow one.  The biggest effect of the choice that I will make it will be my ability to have a social life, at the risk of not being able to attend college next year.

You see, I can either write the essay myself and take advantage of the essay assistance program on campus to help if I have any problems or I could just buy essays off the Internet and submit those as my completed work.  Now the second choice is obviously quicker than the first but if I am caught submitting work that isn’t my own I risk keep getting a zero in the class and potentially expelled from school.

With only three days left until the essay is due I will have to make up my mind quickly as there isn’t much time left.  Whatever my choice, I will live with the consequences either way.

Self Taught Term Paper

Posted By Twyla on April 9, 2008 @ 4:07 pm

I remember the first time I had to write a termpaper for high school. For some reason, we were never prepared for this beforehand and I was really scared because I did not know what was involved. I knew that our class was lacking and that a lot more was expected from us than what we knew how to give.

I went to talk to my older sister, as I knew that she had written a lot of term papers. I wanted her to teach me how to write a good one and she gave me a basic outline to follow. She told me that it was important to have my paragraphs organized and that I also include a bibliography at the end.

I took her advice to heart and I even kept her outline and used it all throughout the rest of high school whenever I had to write research papers. That first one ended up turning out alright and I got the highest grade on it than anyone else in the class. I credit this to my sister and I am glad I had her to help me out.

There Is No Easy Way out

Posted By Twyla on April 8, 2008 @ 3:00 pm

During my first year of college I decided that I was going to choose easy classes to help ease me into the strict routine of being a college student.  One of his classes happen to be art but I was not prepared as to the vast toughness of the arts essay that I was going to have to write for the class.

The arts essay that I had to write was going to be even worse than the sociology essay that I had just handed in the week before.  They really bummed me out as I had chosen this class just because it was supposed to be easy.

I wish that all the classes that I had taken at assignments that were as easy to do as the management essay that I had written.  This particular essay had not taken a much time at all and I got a very good grade on it so I was very happy about that.

College Life and Essays

Posted By Admin on April 7, 2008 @ 11:49 am

College life in the essay writing go hand-in-hand.  There is a delicate balance between the two and if you ignore one or the other chances are your college experience will not be as good as you would expect.  Without essay writing you will not pass your classes, and without having some sort of social life in college you’ll never make it through in one piece.

One of the biggest things I learned is that I should schedule my coursework as it comes in so that I still have time to engage in social activities.  This is especially true for essays as your mark tends to be higher if you allocate more time to writing as a over a longer period.  That way, you’re not in a rush and your paper looks well thought out and complete.

Trust me when I say that this balance is key as I had repeat my first year college because I just couldn’t figure that out.  So for those of you just starting out heed my advice and save yourself a lost year of your life.

Cutting Corners in College

Posted By Admin on April 6, 2008 @ 8:39 am

I’ll be the first to admit that while I was in college I didn’t do all the work that I submitted myself.  If you ask any college student, they will tell you that there is way too much work compared to the amount of time you have to do it.

It all started when I got help with my admission essay even before I was in college and continued with me ordering some custom essays be few times when I didn’t have time to write them myself.  I didn’t feel bad about it because many companies outsource their writing and I should to, right?

I will have to say though that all the book reports that I submitted in college were actually written by me.  They were the one thing that I really didn’t have much problems writing so I found it easier to do myself instead of cutting corners to get it done.

Three Pieces to the College Puzzle

Posted By Admin on April 5, 2008 @ 3:06 pm

My college experience was filled with good times, bad times, and stressful times.  I would have to say that it was one of the most wonderful and horrible experiences of my entire life.  Though I did manage to get a degree, it wasn’t until my fourth year that I figured out the three pieces to the college puzzle.

Now these pieces are not a description of the three things that make your college life wonderful.  Rather, it is the three things that tend to encapsulate what you will be doing a college while you’re there.

The first piece would be the coursework that you do while in college.  I would include attending classes, reading your textbook, and doing assignments in this category.  Usually, you’ll find yourself doing these tasks each and every day and quite frankly it will be the majority what to do at college.

The second piece would be all the essays that you write.  Whether it be the term papers that you are writing for your English class, psychology class, sociology class, etc. you’ll find you are writing pretty much all the time.  The result is either you end up loving to write or just hate it.  Thankfully, with many degrees you do not have to write essays in the last couple years of your college career.

The third piece of a college life would be socializing.  This can be the clubs, teams, events that you attend and participate in.  I would have to say, for me this was the most fun of the three major things that you do in college.  But, you have to be careful that you don’t spend all your time socializing and ignore the other two things that you should be doing.

So my college days are over, there are many days when I wish I could go back and relive those times again.
