My wife suffers from sleep apnea, though we sort of have it under control. Many years ago (I just can’t remember), we went to speak with our doctor about what we could do with respect to her sleep apnea.
He suggested that we pick up a CPAP machine that would ensure that her breathing would remain constant throughout the night. It has worked remarkably well, and things have been much better since she has used the machine.
But we are having a problem right now finding a sleep apnea mask for her. We have checked the many CPAP Supply outlets in town, but for whatever reason, they are all out of stock.
It looks that we might have to find an online supplier and get them there - she can’t be without one for long.
For many years now, I have dreamed of being an archer. Sure, that is not something that anyone would be in this day and age, but it doesn’t mean I can’t dream, right?
So instead of becoming an archer, I take the time each weekend to go to the archery range and do a little target practice. But, today before I go, I need to pick up some archery supplies (specifically targets and arrows) so that I can actually practice.
Well, I should get going before the store and range closes - talk to you all later.
We have decided to sell the natural makeup that my wife creates on the Internet. Though we are new to selling anything online, from what we have learned from our friends, we needed some sort of software to make the site work. From what we were told, we should be looking for some dotnetnuke shopping cart software to make the dream a reality.
While searching for the right shopping cart software, we came across Aspdotnet. It was a site that provided the exact solution that we were looking for. They provided an all-in-one solution for the e commerce needs that we would have as a business.
We have contacted the company to see if they offer installation and customization services, and we are waiting to hear back from them. But, I just can’t wait to get the store started and see how well my wife’s makeup will sell online.
I wanted to get my mom and dad something nice for their anniversary, but every year I have the same problem. I never know what to get them. This year, I decided that I would look into getting them some new home office furniture. They have just recently started using a computer, so their office is rather makeshift right now.
My dad has a really bad back and knees and I thought that using really high quality office chairs would be a good idea for him. I decided on a leather one that promotes good posture and comfort. I have a friend who sits at a computer all day and he has the same chair. He said that it was definitely worth the money.
I suggested the idea of office furniture to my brother and he decided that he, too, would buy them some for their anniversary. He is going to get them a proper computer desk. I think that they will be happy with our choice of gifts and it will take care of furnishing the newest room in their house.
Shopping as a guy is pretty simple in most cases. Usually I like to think of my shopping trips as being a sniper shopper - I know what I want, and I just buy it. In most cases, it works out perfectly, except today it sure didn’t.
You see, I have one of those whirlpool baths and it quit. Being the handy person that I am (insert some sarcasm here) I tried to fix it, but I think I just made matters worse. It wasn’t until today that I noticed too that the rest of the bathroom was looking old and dated - and maybe could use a replacement.
I had a bit of money set aside for a day like today, so I thought that I could go look at bathroom suites and pick one out.
Well it wasn’t that easy.
There were so many choices I was a bit overwhelmed. Thankfully, the sales clerk was very helpful and I managed to pick out everything. I went with one of those shower baths this time as I really don’t have a lot of time (or interest) in soaking in the tub - a quick shower will do.
I just hope I don’t have to do this again for a long time - it sure wasn’t easy…
I was surprised to see that there was nothing for sale on the website last week, which I usually use to purchase my scrapbook supplies. They usually have tons of sales every week, so I was more than a little bit disappointed.
When I enquired about it, I was told that their digital media had failed and so they had not been able to post their sales, but would be happy to let me know what was on sale if I wanted to call a customer service representative.
I called and got a list and decided that maybe if I looked these items up in the archives of the website, I may be able to see a picture of them and thus be able to decide if it was something I wanted or not.
I did a free search and came up with some great pictures of what was available and what was for sale. I made my order and decided that it certainly wasn’t the tragedy that I had thought it was at the beginning of my search.
While out inline skating today, I accidentally lost my watch when the strap broke. I must be a fool, as I was wearing my Rolex watch out while exercising. Definitely not a smart idea.
But, I had to replace it before my wife found out. You see, she gave it to me as my anniversary present on our fifth wedding anniversary, and she would be furious if I didn’t come home with it.
With my wallet feeling a little too light for the shopping I was about to do, I entered a watch store. Just five short minutes into my shopping, I realized I didn’t have enough cash to buy the real thing, so I asked the sales clerk if they sold replica watches.
I was directed to the watch replicas they had in the store and I was able to find a perfect Rolex replica watch that was a very close match to the one I lost. I bought it, put it on and came home.
So far, she hasn’t noticed that anything is different - this will give me time to figure out when would be the best time to tell her about what happened.
I never thought that I would ever sell jewelry - but here I am an electronics and designer jewelry salesperson. You see, I really applied for the electronics position, but as it turns out, the guy that sells you a plasma television, also sells you a diamond ring.
Perhaps it was my lack of research before applying for the job, or the blind eye I turned towards the jewelry case, but there it is. I look at it as more of a challenge learning about the unique designer jewelry that we carry - I don’t mind getting paid to learn something new.
We learned today that out of all the jewelry that we sell, we sell more luxury jewelry than we do the cheap stuff. Today we covered the major gemstones, diamonds, and how to size jewelry for the clients.
It sure felt like a crash course in jewelry sales, but it really wasn’t that difficult. I think the real challenge for me will be to familiarize myself with the pieces themselves - the terminology that goes with jewelry will be easy to pick up.
While I was at the Laundromat the other day, washing a load of T-shirts, I was skimming through a magazine. While waiting for the clothes to dry, I was reading the advertisements in the magazine. This is not something I usually do, but I was really bored. I am glad that I did.
I came across the most perfect collegiate handbags at a really great price and I knew I had to have one. I tore the add out of the magazine (shhhh…don’t tell anyone) and took it home to my computer. I placed my order that day.
The website prompted me to look at some other things, such as belt buckles and Pakistan rugs. The products were all very nice and I had to force myself to close the browser before I spent money I didn’t have. Who knew doing laundry could be so expensive.
