I had the opportunity today to go out for coffee with a good friend of mine, Bruce. You see, Bruce is a computer consultant, and when we go out for coffee, it is an opportunity to pick his brain for computer advice.
Today, we were talking about the best registry cleaner software. I was a little confused between the conflicting reviews I had read online. I just wasn’t sure which program out of the many that were available would be the best for my computer and my needs.
He told me that out of the Regcure Reviews and Registry Mechanic Review that he had read, there were no clear answers as to which was better. Bruce said that he did have some experience with Regcure, but beyond that he had no opinion.
But, if he uses Regcure himself, I figure that it should be good for me too. I plan to buy it next week and try it out.
I was going through some electronic magazines looking for some data recovery software reviews. I would like to use some information on these in a programming class that I am taking just for fun. I have always been interested in helping people recover missing or misplaced files and I wanted to see what kinds of technological advances have been made in this area.
I know that back when I first started helping people that the recovery my files data recovery program that I used was primitive, even then. I figure that in this point in time, there must be many advances made. I, myself would be someday interested in developing a good software program for this.
I have been working on developing a photo recovery software program and I thought that this would be a really good start to eventually developing the whole thing. It still has quite a few glitches, but I believe that it will be a really good program when it is finished.
I wanted to ask about buying some privacy software for my computer. For the first time ever, I have a roommate. I have no problem with her using my computer, but there are some things on there that I would rather she not have access to. For example, I don not want her having access to my online banking information.
It is not as if I don’t trust her. I live with her, after all, but it is absolutely none of anyone’s business what is in my bank account. I was discussing this with my boyfriend and he suggested that I look into Paretologic privacy controls. I have no idea what that is, but he is a bit of a computer geek, so I guess that he would know what he is talking about.
I questioned him as to whether an anonymizer would be a good idea for me. He thought that there were better options out there and told me that he would take care of it for me. He is such a sweetie and I love having him around when it comes to different computer issues. Now my privacy will be protected and I can breathe easy.
Sorry for the vulgarity of the post title, but that is just how I feel. You see, two days ago, my hard drive crashed, and I just about lost everything.
Lucky for me, I have a friend that is a computer expert and he was able to give me some guidance. He told me that I could get some data recovery software and that it would let me recover almost all of the information that I had on my hard drive. I wouldn’t have to hire an expert and pay them big bucks, but I could just buy the software and do it myself.
After purchasing the software, I started to do a hard drive recovery. Thankfully, the software held my hand through the process and guided me in the right direction to get things started. I was just able to start the software up, pick what I wanted to do, and go do other things.
When I came back later, I found that the software worked and I was able to recover from crashed hard drive. After a big sigh of relief, I was able to use my computer again. Thank goodness.
