Selling Stainless Steel Jewelry at Trade Shows

Posted By Twyla on January 18, 2008 @ 9:05 am

I found a stainless steel jewelry wholesale store that I became interested in. I like to go to trade shows and am always looking for new products to sell. It has become my means of making a living and it is always something I love to do. I do, however, like to change my product often, as I tend to get less bored with new things.

I knew at the prices of the wholesale stainless steel jewelry, it was definitely something I could mark up and make quite a profit. I thought it would be the perfect product for one of my upcoming trade shows that catered especially to women.

I made an order and am now trying to put a mini catalog of stainless steel jewelry together to hand out at the trade show. I think that teenagers will love the product, as it will be in their price range, and is very fashionable, as well.

Our Groupie Reviews

Posted By Twyla on January 17, 2008 @ 12:38 pm

My friends and I always write the best reviews after we have been to a concert. It is not our job, and no one else ever sees them, but we keep them all in a book and we have a lot of fun doing it.

We have no problem writing down when we go to a show that is full of just cool stuff. That could be anything from the music to the choreography to the souvenirs that are offered for sale.

On the same hand, we also love to write reviews on concerts that are full of just stupid stuff. That way we can remember never to go and see them again. It does give us a good laugh when we look back at them.

We have found a few very cool websites that are willing to post some of our reviews on their blogs. This way, other people can see them and decide for themselves whether they agree with us or not.

My Sense of Style – Thrifty and Rich

Posted By Twyla on January 14, 2008 @ 1:15 am

I own several different replica watches that I wear very often. I don’t really own any of the real thing, but I don’t really care. I also own replicas of fashions and handbags and this does not bother me one bit at all, either. I am what I am and I buy what I can buy.

It would be great to be able to afford to buy Rolex watches, but the reality is that I can’t. This does not mean that I look any less classy wearing a replica with my replica Gucci purse or my replica Calvin Klein dress. None of them are real and I know that, but it really does not matter to me one bit.

I am often complimented on my sense of style, not on what I pay for my style. So, if I am wearing Rolex replicas, it does not say that I am poor…it says that I am thrifty and still have a great sense of style. That is the way it is and the way it will probably always be.

My Husband Builds Modern Furniture

Posted By Twyla on January 13, 2008 @ 6:27 pm

My husband has a hobby of building contemporary furniture. He mostly does it for his family and friends, but has been asked to make some pieces for an upcoming home show. He is nervous about it, as it is just his hobby, and he fears that if he does it for a living, he won’t enjoy it as he does now.

He made the nicest set of contemporary bedroom furniture for me and he wants to take it to the trade show. This is causing some tension between us as it is an original and I do not want people being able to purchase my set. He made it for me and I love that no one else has anything like it.

I will admit that he is genius when it comes to building modern furniture, but I kind of agree that it might be ruined if he starts mass producing his pieces. Everything up to this point is original and I think this is how it should be.

Building Traffic Through Links

Posted By Admin on January 12, 2008 @ 11:28 am

Why would you build a website that no one ever visits?  Not only would that not make sense, but chances are it would cost you money.  For most people that own websites, the goal is to make money – not to lose it.  In order to do that, a company needs good link building strategies in place to ensure that they get the links and traffic they need to survive.

How do you start link building?

Well, that is easy.  There are many different link building ideas out there at the moment, ranging from a lot of work to very little work at all.  Some examples would include directory submissions, article writing and forum posting.  For simplicity, if you do multiple link building methods you will have greater success than just doing one.

Where to start?

Well, a good place to start is by commenting on blogs to get high value links.  These links can pass page rank or even traffic back to your site quickly.  You can even try it out below in the comment form.

We Have A Say In How the Country Is Run

Posted By Twyla on January 9, 2008 @ 10:20 pm

What I often wonder is whether your opinion really counts when it comes to politics. I know that we, the public are the ones who vote our leaders in, but does our opinion matter past this point? It seems to me that we are often dissatisfied with the answers that we receive.

I would say that you would be right on the mark if you were to say that once they are elected, they really care less about what we think or how their decisions are affecting us. I am not really a bitter person, but instead, a realistic one.

I think that there should be more public views and opinions on the decisions that the government is making. I know everyone has opinions, but the public should be allowed to make these opinions known to those who matter.

I think a good idea would be to send out mailings, asking for opinions and reviews of things that are currently happening in the legislature. This would give the public a chance to give their own feedback.

Thanks to my Advisor – My Site is Up

Posted By Twyla on January 8, 2008 @ 3:47 pm

I have just now gotten my website up and running. During the creation of it, I ran into quite a few problems and had to go to a website advisor for help more than once. He was quite a helpful person and it was because of him that we are up now. I am thankful for his knowledge.

He told me that a good way to get my site known was to approach different article sites for help in promoting my site. I am not sure if I am ready to launch it to the whole world yet, but I will definitely keep this advice in mind for the future.

I was also informed about the various SEO services that are available to also help promote my site. I think that my advisor may have the wrong idea about what my site is for. It will be more for personal use than to bring in millions of dollars.

I will, however, do some keyword research. I think that this will be fun and the knowledge that I gain could be quite rewarding. I had to call my family tonight to let them know that I was up and that they needed to go and check out my site.

A Shocking Blow

Posted By Twyla on January 7, 2008 @ 1:00 pm

Medicare Health Insurance is something that a lot of us take for granted until we actually need to use it. Only a few months ago, we were dealt with the crushing blow that my husband had diabetes. It was quite a shocker for us, as he has always been very healthy and there were no diabetics in his family. He was just all of a sudden violently ill one day and as soon as the emergency doctor saw him, he knew that it was insulin that he needed.

He was, of course, treated right away and the questions of Medicare supplement were brought up later, when he was feeling better. It was then that we realized that we didn’t have the proper coverage and had neglected to obtain it before it was needed.

The people at the hospital, as well as the people with Medicare were very good to us. We were offered free diabetes supplies to get us through until we could get the coverage that we needed. It has been hard, but we are dealing with the disease and it is now completely under control.

She’s All Grown Up

Posted By Twyla on January 6, 2008 @ 2:21 pm

My daughter wants a mobile home loan, so that she and my granddaughter will have a real place to call home. They are currently renting an apartment and my daughter said she was tired of paying for something that would never be hers. She looked into mobile homes and soon realized that she could own one for less than what she was paying for her apartment lease.

She went to talk to someone at the bank about a manufactured home loan and when they went over her finances and credit history, decided that she would make an ideal candidate and would certainly be approved for the loan, if she was able to find a home for sale.

She applied for a PMI mortgage and was approved. Now she needs to find a mobile home for sale in the area in which she currently lives. She is quite excited and we are very proud at the mature decision she is making as a young single mother.

Looking to Invest in a Home Business

Posted By Twyla on January 3, 2008 @ 12:44 pm

I have been looking for awhile for a home business.  You see, in just a few months, I will have a year off on maternity leave, which is paid, and I will have some free time to work on a business.

There are many different types of home businesses that I am considering investing in, but before I invest my hard earned money, I will be reading as many home business reviews as I can to better educate myself before I make a purchase.  Perhaps my biggest reason for reading more than one review is to make sure that the business information one review presents is the same as another – if there is consistency, I know that the information should be accurate.

I am also following the advice I found in a business guide that I read:  from the information I found in the reviews and the main home business site, I am making a folder for each one to keep track of what I have found.  This means that most of the online business information for each opportunity has been printed out – which uses a lot of paper.  But, it will be easier for me to arrange that information on the kitchen table and read it away from the computer.

I do have some time to decide before I pick one, so I am making sure that I educate myself on all the opportunities before I make a purchase.  But, with my organizational system in place, I think that I will be able to pick a winner – and hopefully not have to go back to work after my maternity leave is over.  I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom – and this is my chance.
